Saturday
About Saturday
Saturday is the only English weekday that keeps a Roman name, from Saturn, dies Saturni. In many other languages its name comes from the Hebrew Shabbat, as with Spanish sábado and Russian subbota. In Judaism the Sabbath runs from Friday sunset to Saturday nightfall.
