Orthodox Christmas
About the Orthodox Christmas
Churches keeping the Julian calendar, including the Russian, Serbian and Georgian churches, celebrate Christmas on 25 December Julian, which corresponds to 7 January Gregorian from 1901 to 2100. After 2100 the gap widens to 14 days and the date will shift to 8 January. Ukraine's main Orthodox church moved to 25 December from 2023.
