Easter
About the Easter
Easter falls on the first Sunday after the ecclesiastical full moon on or after 21 March. In the Gregorian calendar Western Easter can fall from 22 March to 25 April; Orthodox churches compute it on the Julian calendar, giving Gregorian dates from 4 April to 8 May. The calculation, the computus, uses the 19-year Metonic cycle, and the full Gregorian sequence of Easter dates repeats only every 5,700,000 years.
