Chinese New Year, or the Spring Festival, begins the first month of the Chinese lunisolar calendar at a new moon falling between 21 January and 20 February. Celebrations run for about 15 days, ending with the Lantern Festival. Lunar New Year is also celebrated in Korea as Seollal and in Vietnam as Tết.
