Dangi
About the Dangi
The Dangi era counts years from the legendary founding of Gojoseon by Dangun in 2333 BCE. South Korea used it officially from 1948 to 1961, when it switched to the Common Era. The traditional Korean lunisolar calendar continues to determine Seollal and Chuseok.
