Ramadan
About the Ramadan
Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, observed with fasting from dawn to sunset. Because the Hijri year is about 11 days shorter than the solar year, it moves earlier each year and passes through all seasons in about 33 years. It ends with Eid al-Fitr on 1 Shawwal, usually announced after a sighting of the new crescent.
