Holocene calendar
About the Holocene calendar
The scientist Cesare Emiliani proposed in 1993 adding 10,000 to Common Era years, so 2026 becomes 12026 HE. The epoch roughly matches the start of the Holocene and of early agriculture, and puts all of recorded human history in positive years without a BCE/CE break. It is a proposal used by some enthusiasts rather than an official era.
