Protestant German states and Denmark-Norway, 1700
About the Protestant German states and Denmark-Norway, 1700
Most Protestant states of the Holy Roman Empire, together with Denmark-Norway, switched in 1700 by following 18 February with 1 March. They at first computed Easter astronomically rather than by the Gregorian tables, and only aligned fully from 1776. The Dutch Protestant provinces moved at various dates between 1700 and 1701.
